Iranian U18 national snooker team will leave Tehran late on Sunday for Chinese city of Jinan where they are supposed to compete in the IBSF U18 and U21 Championship that will begin on Monday.
“Shervin Omidvar, Mohammad Babaei and Sami Tusi-Nejad make up the Iranian squad as they won selection games for world competitions,” said Kamran Shahla, the head Coach of Iran's billiards team, on Sunday in an interview with local media.
According to the manager, the Iranian cadet cueists are experiencing their first international competitions. He added that Omidvar is of great readiness and is expected to win glory for the team.
The head coach of Iranian billiards team said that Mohammad Mirnoorzai, Arman Atashsokhan and Mehran Ershadi make up the U21 team. The U21 poolers will be dispatched to China on July 6.
The 2018 IBSF World U18 (Men) & U21 (Men & Women) Snooker Championships, hosted by Chinese Billiards and Snooker Association, run from July 2 till July 11.
