TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (MNA) – Iranian shooters won the gold medal in women's competitions at the 10th edition of Asian Shooting Championships.

Fatemeh Ghodratollahi (386 points), Haniyeh Rostamiyan (383 points) and Seyedehshirin Mortazavi (375 points) were the members of the Iranian team who advanced to the first place in 10M air pistol women and won a gold medal while Indian and South Korean teams came second and third in the competitions.

Golnoush Sebghatollahi advanced to the finals in 10M Air Pistol Women and attained the 5th rank while Amitis Jafari failed to advance to the finals and ranked 9th.

The 12 shooters of the Iranian team won a silver medal in the youth competitions and Amirsiavash Zolfaghari obtained an Olympic quota.

Erfan Salavati advanced to the finals of men’s competitions in 10m air pistol youth and won a silver medal which earned him the Youth Olympic Games quota.

The 10th Asian Airgun Championships are held in Wako-Saitama, Japan from 6-12 December in men’s and women’s sections and in the juniors, youth and adults age groups.
