TEHRAN, Sep. 26 (MNA) – Member of Iran’s shooting squad Sareh Javanmardi managed to snatch a silver medal in the women’s P2 10-meter air pistol SH1 competitions at 2017 World Shooting Para Sport World Cup.

Underway in Osijek of Croatia, the sportive extravaganza saw the Iranian Paralympic champion landing in the second position upon collecting 236.5 points in the women’s P2 10-meter air pistol SH1 competitions.

The gold trophy went to Aysegul Pehlivanlar from Turkey who racked up 237.7 points. Meanwhile, Hungary’s Krisztina David stood on the third podium with 211.3 points.

Earlier on Monday, Mehdi Zamani had won the title at in men’s P1 10-meter air pistol SH1 contests with 235.0 points at Streljana Pampas Osijek in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek. Damir Bosnjak from the host country and South Korea’s Jungnam Kim finished second and third respectively.

The Iranian squad also received the silver medal at the end of men’s P1 10-meter air pistol SH1 team competitions.

With participation of over 100 athletes from 20 countries, the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup began on September 22 and will come to an end today on September 26, 2017.
