Ali Larijani made the remarks at a joint meeting with Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Ghana in Tehran on Saturday.
Pointing to special position of Ghana, the Iranian official said the visit of Ghana’s parliamentary delegation to Iran can definitely lead to expansion of collaborations between the two countries in various sectors, economic ones in particular.
He emphasized capacities of Iran and Ghana in economic and energy sectors adding “the two countries can launch comprehensive cooperation in gas, oil and petrochemical arenas.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament went on to add that the Islamic Republic of Iran was eager to make investments in Ghana in areas of modern agriculture and cross-country cultivation.
Later at the session, Alban S. K. Bagbin of Ghana, touched upon age-old history of relations between Tehran and Accra and expressed his country’s willingness to bolster collaborations with Iran as evidenced by presence of Ghanaian parliamentary delegation.
He stressed the need for strengthening economic and investment relations especially in oil, gas and cement fields concluding that deep parliamentary ties would undoubtedly lead to increased transactions and accelerated economic investment between the two countries.
