TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (MNA) – Deputy Iranian foreign minister for Arab and African affairs met and talked with leaders of coalition of Palestinian resistance groups based in Damascus.

Hossein Jaberi Ansari, during his visit to Syria, met with leaders of Palestinian resistance groups based in the Syrian capital and exchanged views on latest regional developments especially as regards the Palestinian issue.

At the meeting, leaders of Palestinian groups appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support of Palestine and Quds, and while referring to conspiracy and threats against Palestine as a result of regional crises, expressed regret towards some Arabic countries who comply with Zionist-American plans to marginalize the Palestinian issue as the most significant issue in the Muslim world.

Jabre Ansari, for his part, enumerated milestones in developments and processes of the region over the past century and the ups and downs of the Palestinian issue saying “today, we are faced with a new round of plots hatched by enemies against people of the region and Palestinians.”

“The point is, we have always observed conspiracies against interests of regional nations, Palestine and Quds,” he underscored.

He said to continue the path, resistance of regional people and unique achievements of Resistance forces in the four decades after the Islamic Revolution in Iran also require due attention if the correct path is to be illuminated.

At the session, which was held at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, leaders and representatives of several Palestinian groups were present including Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, General Command of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and National Liberation Movement of Palestine among the others.
