TEHRAN, Mar. 01 (MNA) – Iran’s national junior freestyle team will depart Tehran for Yakutsk in order to vie at Roman Dmitriev Memorial international cup.

The international junior freestyle tournament is scheduled to be competed in the Russian city of Yakutsk from March 03-06.

The sportive event pursues three main objectives including perpetuating memory of the merited master of sport and olympic champion Roman Dmitriev, propaganda and popularization of freestyle wrestling as well as improving sports skills.

The tournament will be held according to the United World Wrestling rules in weight categories FS 50, 55, 60, 66, 74, 84, 96, 120 kg., tolerance 2 kg. Individual competition.

The Iranian outfit to take part in the wrestling tournament comprises Ali Fatehi and Amir Parasteh (50kg), Erfan Ayeeni (55kg), Younes Emami (60kg), Farhad Nouri (66kg), Arash Nirabadi (84kg), Danial Shariati (96kg) as well as Nima Basti and Nayeem Hassanzadeh (120kg).
