TEHRAN, Feb. 03 (MNA) – Armenian PM Karen Karapetyan and Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi met on Thursday in Yerevan to discuss the ways to boost cooperation.

Developing bilateral ties in all areas including in the economic field was the main content of talks between Karen Vilhelmi Karapetyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and Iran’s Ambassador to Yerevan Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi in Yerevan on Thursday.

Referring to his plan for travelling to Tehran in the near future, Karapetyan stressed on Armenia’s readiness to achieve a trilateral agreement of swapping gas between Iran, Turkmenistan, and Armenia.

Sajjadi, for his part, istressed on developing bilateral ties in all areas and called for joint ventures like establishing an economic free trade zone in Armenia capitalizing on the capacities of Aras Free Trade Zone of Iran.

The Iranian diplomat told the Armenian PM that Iranian investors and business people are ready to cooperate in projects in sections of energy, road construction, and tourism. He affirmed that Iranian government supports the Iranian citizens who wish to invest in Armenia.
