TEHRAN, Jan. 02 (MNA) – National Iranian ice hockey team will depart Tehran for Zagreb on Tuesday to take part at Croatia Indoor Cup.

Following four series of tough training camps, Iranian ice hockey players are scheduled to leave for the Croatian capital on December 03 in order to compete at an international tournament.

The Iranian outfit will undergo two days of training in Zagreb before participating in the 2017 Croatia Indoor Cup to kick off on Friday January 06.

The sportive event will be also attended by ice hockey teams from Croatia, Belarus, Qatar, Slovakia as well as Slovenia.

Iran’s squad considers the Croatian tournament as a preparatory stage for the 7th edition of Asian Cup to convene in Qatar in May 2017.

The Iranian national team comprises Behdad Biranvand, Mohammad Asnaashari, Amir Aruei, Hamid Nouranian, Mohsen Bohluli, Sasan Hataminejad, Seyed Mohammad Ghoreishi, Alireza Chezani Sharahi, Abbas Aruei, Behnam Sadi, Vahid Fathi and Sajjad Mamizadeh led by Esfandiar Safaei as the head couch as well as Masoud Bohluli and Abolfazl Yousefi as coaches.
