“Fortunately, the good security status in Iran is the best guarantee for investing on Iran’s tourism industry,” said Vice President and Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO), Massoud Soltanifar, at a joint presser with Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mahir Ünal, at Hotel Laleh, in Tehran on Thursday.
“Both Iran and Turkey have long run plans for developing tourism industry, and both share good capacities for this industry,” highlighted Iranian official referring to the boosting tourism relations of Tehran, and Turkey and the internal expectations for better tourism in both countries.
Soltanifar voiced hope that having put into effect the measures planned, more Turkish tourists visit Iran.
Recounting the support packages of Iran’s government for the investors in Iran’s tourism industry, the Iranian VP said that in addition to good cooperation in the last years, special guarantees and supports are provided to those who invest in Iran’s tourism industry.
He also articulated that Iran would not limit Iranians’ visits to Turkey to keep the balance, but wants more Turkish citizens to visit Iran.
During the Turkish delegation visit to Tehran, along with minister’s meetings, members of his accompanying entourage of private sector, the representatives of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), Touristic Hotels and Investors’ Association (TUROB) and Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) will meet with Iranian tour operators.
