TEHRAN, May 10 (MNA) – Abbas Rafei’s feature narrative film 'Oblivion Season' will go on screen in Sanford International Film Festival, in its 56th international presence.

Produced and directed by Abbas Rafei, the 93-min feature narrative film Oblivion Season will compete with films from the USA, Germany, Argentina and France at the US event due on May 25-29 in Florida.

Oblivion Season narrates the story of a struggling but strong-spirited woman who, against all prejudices, tries to assert herself against working women and also against the hostility and contempt of the family of her husband.

The film bagged the Best Actress as well as the Best Feature Film Award of New York’s Queens World Film Festival in April this year.

It also won the Best Film Award at Brasov International Film Festival (BRIFF), Best Feature Narrative Award at Buffalo International Film Festival (BIFF) and Best Film Award at the Third Annual Rahway International Film Festival in northeastern New Jersey, the US, in early September.

The Sanford International Film Festival is a world-wide-community event inviting the world to become a part of its creative and compassionate Maine community.
