The red giants of Tehran garnered their 3rd victory of the season in the opening match of the ninth round of Iran’s Pro League of Soccer AKA Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran, at Samen Stadium of northeastern city of Mashahd on Tuesday.
Persepolis staged a superior performance in an away fixture with leading the first half with Ramin Rezaeian’s opener of the 40th minute.
Siahjamegan started the second half with the objective to equalize the event but they were not successful in scoring the retaliating goal till they concede for the second time when at the 72nd minute of the game Farshad Ahmadzadeh headed into the frame of the goal the ball sent by Omid Alishah.
The hosts managed to respond to one of the goals at the 82nd minute of the match as Alireza Naghizadeh’s shot touched Perspolis’s net.
The second fixture of the day was held in northern port city of Anzali where the swans of the city lined up against Sepahan of Isfahan.
Isfahanis could have ascended to the top of the table had they garnered the three points of the event, but they headed home sharing the points with Malavan of Anzali, as they left the pitch 0-0.
The giants of Tabriz were lucky in their home encounter against Saipa of Tehran and garnered the three points of the event in a day with their fans.
Tractorsazi was punished to hold a home event without fans as the fans were impolite to the referee in the previous match.
Hamzeh Younes(26) and Bakhtiar Rahmani(53) scored for Tractorsazi.
