TEHRAN, Sep. 28 (MNA) – According to Deputy for Communications and Information at the President's Office, President Rouhani will leave New York for Tehran earlier than the schedule to attend the returning ceremony for Mina tragedy’s victims.

Parviz Esmaeili stated that, “President Rouhani has been regularly in contact with the Vice President and relevant authorities on Mina Tragedy and has followed the reports on the status of Iranian pilgrims who died or were injured in this painful accident.”

“Iran’s president issued orders to various Iranian ministers to form a committee and take necessary measures to transfer the victim’s bodies to Iran and to treat the injured pilgrims in the incident,” he said.

Esmaeili further asserted that, “despite the irresponsibility of Saudi authorities, as a result of considerable efforts by Iranian officials, the first group of Iranian pilgrims who were killed while performing Hajj ceremonies in Mina will return to Iran on Tuesday; therefore, Hassan Rouhani will leave New York on Monday afternoon by cancelling a number of his scheduled programs and meetings at the United Nations.”
