    Iran's export of tile, ceramics up by 10% last year

    TEHRAN, Jun. 16 (MNA) – Head of Iran Tile and Ceramic Producers Guild Association Mohammad Roshanfekr said Saturday that the country produced 400 million square meters of tile and ceramics last year (ended Mar. 20, 2019), showing that exports of tile and ceramics in the same period increased 10 percent as compared to the previous year’s corresponding period.

    TEHRAN, Apr. 10 (MNA) – The Director General of Textile and Clothing Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade Afsaneh Mehrabi put the exports growth of textile and clothing in the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2019) at 26 percent.

    TEHRAN, Aug. 20 (MNA) – Ruin, a village located in North Khorasan province, is home to women who still pursue the traditional arts and crafts of their ancestors, weaving, which began about 400 years ago and is one of the sources of income for the village. About 120 women weavers are currently actively engaged in this industry in Ruin.
