TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (MNA) – Fishing season in the northern Iranian provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran and Golestan is underway, as some 10,000 fishermen have started catching bony fish in the Caspian Sea. Every year, the season begins on October 12 and runs through April 04 the following year. The Caspian Sea is the world’s primary and largest habitat for the beluga, the most famous sturgeon, as well as four other sturgeon species.
