TEHRAN, May 07 (MNA) – Leader’s senior aid noted that Iran’s will is to boost cooperation with brotherly, friendly Syria.
Ali Akbar Velayati met with the Prime Minister of Syria Wael Nader al-Halqi on Saturday and discussed the development of bilateral ties between the two countries.
Ali Akbar Velayati expressed satisfaction with his meeting with Syrian Prime Minister saying Syria today is stronger than ever, and victory for the resistance axis will be realized with the stability of Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian government and the nation, who have endured an unjust war over the past five years.
“Islamic Republic of Iran seeks cooperation in all fields with Syria,” head of Strategic Research Center said, “we hope to take advantage of all capacities in the political field.”
Syrian prime minister welcomed Velayati and accompanying delegation and thanked his positive efforts in relation to Syria.
Pointing to Velayati’s position as an advisor to the Leader which can be very influential in the development of mutual relations, Nader al-Halqi expressed special thanks to the Iranian nation, Leader of Islamic Revolution, government and all Iranian officials who support Syrian government and people.
He added that Syria should strive and fight for its development in not only the military field, but also the political and economic areas.
