Bahrain hosts Iranian calligraphy exhibit

TEHRAN, April 8 (MNA) -- An exhibition of Quranic calligraphy by Iranian artist Mohammadreza Afshari opened on April 7 at the Beit Al Quran center in Manama, Bahrain.

Beit Al Quran Executive Chairman Abdul Latif Kanoo, Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and other Bahraini artists and officials attended the opening ceremony.

 

The center always highlights the art of calligraphy and Afshari’s artworks are innovative, Kanoo stated during the ceremony. 

 

Over 40 calligraphy artworks are on display in the two-week exhibit.

 

The showcase is being cosponsored by the Iranian Embassy in Manama and Beit Al Quran.
