Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, said Iran possesses the capacity to continue the war for a long period until the enemy reaches a point of regret.
He stated that the enemy must ultimately regret its actions, adding that Iran needs to emerge from the war at a level of security that prevents another conflict from occurring.
According to Akraminia, if that point is reached, Iran’s deterrence level will rise to a stage where the enemy will no longer permit itself another attack.
He also said that the United States and its president, Donald Trump, now face an intellectual challenge following the military escalation.
Akraminia added that Trump has not provided a clear and convincing explanation to global public opinion regarding the reason for the war, describing that issue as an ongoing challenge for Washington.
