The Trumps who were overthrown

The Trumps who were overthrown

TEHRAN, Jan. 11 (MNA) – The statement of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his meeting with the people of Qom on Friday, which was delivered with a strong backing of faith and experience, was a message of authority and strength.

The statement of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his meeting with the people of Qom on Friday, which was delivered with a strong backing of faith and experience, was a message of authority and strength. At the current juncture, when the enemy has placed the creation and support of internal chaos at the forefront of its anti-Iranian actions, this message should be an inspiration and a beacon for the Iranian nation, especially those who have their hearts tied to the Islamic homeland, to confront the enemy's tricks.

But one of the important passages of these statements emphasized the overthrow of cruel and warmongering dictators who were overthrown at the end of their reign due to pride and miscalculation. In this passage, Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the US President, said: "This guy (Trump) who sits there with arrogance and pride and judges the whole world, should also know that usually the tyrants and arrogant people of the world, such as Pharaoh, Nimrod, Reza Khan, Mohammad Reza and the like, were overthrown when they were at the height of their pride, and this one (Trump) will also be overthrown."

In this regard, he was referring to the fate of people such as Pharaoh, Nimrod, Reza Khan and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi; at the same time. There were other well-known people in recent centuries who, due to pride and narcissism, made miscalculations and went down the path of downfall; a path that is also facing Trump.

Adolf Hitler, the Chancellor of Germany and leader of the Nazi Party, was the undisputed dictator of Germany from his time as Chancellor until April 30, 1945. As a narcissistic and arrogant individual, Hitler advocated extreme German nationalism and envisioned totalitarian rule over Europe. He started World War II in Europe and was responsible for the deaths of more than 19 million civilians and prisoners of war. Hitler's actions and his extreme and immoral nationalism, which are very similar to Trump's nationalistic and warmongering thoughts, inflicted unprecedented suffering on humanity. In late 1944, Hitler, due to the pride arising from his conquests, made a miscalculation and entered the war on two fronts with the Russian Red Army and the Western allied armies and was defeated. This narcissistic individual, who never imagined the defeat of the Nazi army, ended his life in his bunker in Berlin in April 1945, becoming a victim of his own pride and narcissism.

General Benito Mussolini, a man of extreme nationalism, became an autocratic dictator as he sought to unify Italy by establishing a one-party state and a secret police force to kill and intimidate his opponents. Mussolini believed that society should be organized around a strong national identity, and in the process, he founded fascism as a nationalist movement. Believing that only a warmongering dictator could unite Italy, he arrogantly occupied the Greek island of Corfu, fought with Ethiopia, and allied himself with Hitler and Nazi Germany in World War II, an alliance that led to the downfall of Italy and the eventual rise of fascism. Mussolini, who is still widely regarded as a ruthless dictator, finally fell on July 25, 1943, and was shot dead while fleeing the country.

In West Asia, Saddam Hussein, at a time when Iraq had the strongest military power in the Arab world, became a criminal dictator after gaining support from the Soviet Union and then the United States. He established an authoritarian regime inside the country, killing many of his opponents, including religious scholars and Iraqi Kurds, and abroad, he launched a military attack on his neighbors, Iran and Kuwait. He even considered becoming a nuclear power due to his arrogance and egotism, but was ultimately overthrown and killed in a brutal manner.

Along with the many names of contemporary dictators, we can also mention people such as Muammar Gaddafi, the leader of Libya, Francisco Franco, the leader of Spain, Joseph Stalin, the dictator of the Soviet Union, Pol Pot, the leader of Cambodia, Pinochet, the leader of Chile, and Idi Amin, the dictator of Uganda, who were ultimately overthrown due to arrogance and miscalculation.

As a self-absorbed individual, Donald Trump began his first term in office with a clear conflict with international norms and human rights and emerged as a dictator. He committed many crimes against people of color and immigrants, and for this reason, he was unable to come to power in the next term. Trump, who was on trial for financial corruption and leaking classified US information, succeeded in bribing judges in the recent term to pave the way for a second term as president. Trump's slogans at his inauguration ceremony showed that he believes in extreme nationalism in America, as he did during his first term as president, and that he will not be able to create a way of governing America that can stop the country's decline.

With his first statements, Trump showed that he does not recognize the new developments in the world and intends to call the world to fight to restore American hegemony and replace hostility with rationalism. Increasing pressure on Mexico, Canada, and Panama, which means "neighborliness," ignoring international norms and withdrawing from global treaties, conflict with European allies, and economic and security struggle with China, and inciting war that culminated in attacking Iran in support of Israel, were among the components of Trump's foreign policy in the new era. However, the reality is that given the attention that countries around the world pay to independence and national sovereignty, American hegemony is irreversible and the world does not welcome American unilateralism.

The US is on the path of decline more than ever during Trump's first term as president, and given his arrogant policies, America's decline will accelerate, and he, like his fellow leaders, will carry to his grave desires such as the destruction of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
