United Iranian nation to defeat any enemy

TEHRAN, Jan. 09 (MNA) – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on the Iranian nation to maintain their unity and stressed that such a united nation will overcome any enmity.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks during a speech regarding the recent terrorist actions carried out by rioters in Iran.

In recent days, protests and public gatherings have been held in several Iranian provinces, primarily in response to economic challenges faced by segments of society. Iranian officials have acknowledged the legitimacy of these demands, stressing that citizens’ economic concerns are valid. The government has also adopted measures aimed at addressing the root causes of current hardships. Taking advantage of the situation, several groups of rioters started to engage in acts of terrorism and sabotage across the counrty.

Authorities have emphasized that the majority of demonstrators have expressed their demands peacefully and within legal frameworks. Senior officials have underlined a clear distinction between lawful protesters and individuals who seek to exploit public grievances for disruptive or violent purposes. 

In an interventionist move, US President Donald Trump expressed support for the rioters, saying that if Iran shoots protesters, Washington would come to their rescue.

Speaking on the recent developments in the country, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution called on the Iranian people to maintaing and strengthen their unity and preparedness, stressing, "A United Nation would overcome any enemy."

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the Islamic Republic would in no way compromise on confronting the mercenaries who act in the interest of foreigners.

Everyone should know that the Islamic Establishment came to power with the sacrifice of some hundred noble Iranian people, and it would not shy away from confroting those who engage in acts of sabotage, he underlined.

Referring to the terrorist incidents erupted in various provinces of Iran on Thursday night, Ayatollah Khamenei blamed those who made harmed to the properties of their homeland in order to please the president of the United States.

Saying that Donald Trump's hand is tainted with the blood of over a thousand ordinary Iranian citizens, the Leader advised the US president to focus on managing his own country's problems.

He also reffered to Trump's remarks in which who admitted that he was in charge of the 12-day war initiated by the Israeli regime on Iran in June and killed hundreds of Iranian ordinary citizens, military personnel, and scientists.
