Media in Syria reported intense fighting between SDF backed by US troops and HTS-led regime's forces in the east of the city of Aleppo since Monday morning.
Al-Jazeera cited its sources in Syria that SDF forces shelled the Ashrafiya, Sheikhan Square, and Al-Lirmon districts in Aleppo with RPGS and mortars.
Meanwhile, Al-Ikhbariya newspaper of Syria reported that the SDF attacked the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud districts in Aleppo with heavy weapons.
The Syrian SANA news agency also reported that Turkey's Gaziantep-Aleppo road was closed due to attacks by the SDF forces.
At the same time, the SDF forces announced that Damascus forces had carried out a large-scale raid on the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo.
The northern and eastern regions of Syria have witnessed sporadic clashes between elements of the Jolani regime and the SDF for months. The ceasefire agreement between them has also failed to stop such clashes.
The clashes today have forced the residents in Aleppo to seek shelter elsewhere.
