The two ministers discussed bilateral relations and international developments. They emphasized the longstanding friendship between Tehran and Havana and voiced commitment to expand ties in areas including trade, science and technology, health, and economy.
Talks also covered global issues, particularly developments in West Asia and the Caribbean. Both sides are concerned about the rise of unilateralism and disregard for international rules in Latin America and the Caribbean by the West.
They stressed the need for the international community to uphold the UN Charter, stop the genocide in the Palestinian territories, and ensure accountability for Israeli regime.
The ministers also agreed to strengthen cooperation and coordination between Iran and Cuba in multilateral forums and international organizations.
