The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 4.47 degrees north latitude and 73.07 degrees west longitude, Xinhua news agency reported.
The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), however, said it was a magnitude 6.5 earthquake, with the epicenter at a depth of 10km (6.21 miles).
