Tehran, Riyadh stress expansion of relations, cooperation

TEHRAN, Apr. 11 (MNA) – In a phone conversation on Wednesday night, the Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers stressed the need for expanding the bilateral relations as well as the scope of cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian a his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan conferred on a range of issues related to the bilateral ties between Tehran and Riyadh during the Wednesday talk.

Offering felicitations on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr, the two top diplomats also discussed the latest regional developments.

Referring to the progressive trend of bilateral relations between the two countries, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that Iran is willing to develop relations with Saudi Arabia as much as possible.

Bin Farhan, for his part, called for expanding the bilateral ties between the two countries and continuing the consultations between the two sides.

Referring to the ongoing Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, Amir-Abdollahian and bin Farhan called for the end of the Israeli aggression in the coastal sliver.
