Iranian, Saudi officials stress expanding relations

TEHRAN, Feb. 05 (MNA) – Head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi and Saudi Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi in a meeting stressed the need to expand bilateral relations between Tehran and Riyadh.

During the meeting, the two sides also expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Israeli war.

The two Iranian and Saudi officials stressed the need for cessation of hostilities against the oppressed Palestinians, emphasizing the need for the Islamic countries to reach a solution to provide the needs of the people of Gaza.

The Israeli regime waged a bloody war against the Gaza Strip on October 7 after the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas carried out a retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity for its atrocities against Palestinians.
