4.4 million tourists have traveled to Iran in eight months

TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (MNA) – The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts said that the number of tourists in the first 8 months of the current Iranian year was 4.4 million people, which has increased by 48.5% compared to last year.

During the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Ezzatullah Zarghami mentioned that despite expectations of a decrease in tourism after last year's protests, the number of tourists increased.

He stated that in one of today's cabinet resolutions, 211 historical objects, related to periods before and after Islam, have been permitted to be transferred to China. These objects will be on display in an exhibition named "Glory of Pars" in Beijing for a duration of six months.
