Local Syrian media reported on Sunday that Israeli warplanes attacked the Shayrat air base near Homs city.
The Syrian sources said that the attack was countered by the Syrian army's air defenses.
The number of casualties has remained unknown.
According to Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV, two Syrian soldiers were killed in the Israeli regime's new aggression while three other were wounded.
