VIDEO: Magnitude 5 earthquake hits NW Iran

TEHRAN, Jul. 10 (MNA) – An earthquake, measuring a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale, struck Maqadeh in West Azarbaijan province, NW Iran, on Friday evening.

The earthquake happened in the depth of 10km at 8:11 PM local time on Saturday.

According to officials of the province, the quake has had no fatalities and has just inflicted material loss. Rescue teams have been dispatched to rural areas to assess the possible damages.
