CBI governor dismissed

TEHRAN, May 30 (MNA) – Abdolnasser Hemmati, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), has been dismissed.

Iranian President Rouhani dismissed Hemmati, who is among the candidates for the upcoming Presidential elections, on Sun.

Rouhani has reportedly appointed Hamid Pourmohammdi as the new CBI chief.

Pourmohammdi was the deputy head of the Planning and Budget Organization of Iran.
