Iran's deterrence power has ruled out enemy's military option: IRGC deputy

TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – IRGC Deputy Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said Wed. that Iran’s military capabilities have changed the enemies’ assessment of Iran and they are not threatening Iran with military option anymore.

"Today, we have eliminated the enemies’ possibility to threaten us with military options, and if they make a mistake in their assessment, we will make them correct it,” Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Wednesday afternoon in a ceremony in Tehran attended by Basij forces.

Salami said that Iran’s deterrence power is ‘credible’ and the enemy today has resorted to targeting Iranian people's livelihood by waging an economic warfare against the country.

The senior military official further noted that the enemy has turned every part of the Iranian economy and people’s lives into a battlefield with the aim of making people feel disappointed in the Islamic establishment.

However, the IRGC deputy commander noted “today, we are hopeful more than ever.”

He fired back at Donald Trump for calling Iranian nation ‘terrorist’, stressing that Iran as ever will foil the enemy’s plots through relying on internal resources.

He recounted late founder of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khomeini’s famous sentence that “the US cannot do a damn thing”, adding  the Iranian nation will overcome their difficulties under the leadership of the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei.
