3,700 spots covered by air defense systems

TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – Commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base said Sat. that no flying object with malicious intent can trespass into Iranian airspace, adding that 3,700 spots across the country are under coverage by air defense systems.

Brigadier General Farzad Esmaili added that Iran is fully covered by air defense systems, promising a severe response to any acts of aggression against the Iranian territory.

He also maintained that US sanctions have only succeeded in strengthening Iran against hardships, adding “we have no concerns over the US pullout from the JCPOA.”

Esmaili then noted that Iran is among the top countries in the world in the defense sector, adding “we will not exchange the country’s military power with any kind of negotiations.”

“If enemies put their finger on the trigger, we will make them regret what they have done,” he stressed.
