Zarif makes this trip at the official invitation of his Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano and will attend the third international conference on Mediterranean dialogues with representatives from 56 countries in attendance.
The main themes of this international conference are Shared Prosperity, shared security, migration, and civil society and culture, with the slogan “stabilizing the crises and building a positive agenda for the region.”
Foreign ministers of the Mediterranean countries, the current High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini and other international officials have received invitation to this international conference.
