US embassy relocation to Jerusalem to ignite new Intifada

TEHRAN, Jun. 22 (MNA) – Parliament's General Director for International Affairs said Thu. the relocation of the American embassy to Jerusalem-al-Quds will bring about a new Intifada in the occupied territories.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who also serves as Palestine Intifada Conference Secretary General, made the remarks on Thursday ahead of the International Quds Day on June 23.

“On Quds Day, supporters of Palestine must raise their voice against the hasty normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and some Western countries with the Zionist regime,” he said.

He went on to add, “the current situation in the Islamic world is the result of plots hatched by the axis of United States and the Zionist regime and the negligence of some regional leaders toward the problems of the Muslim world and the oppression of the Palestinian people.”

“One positive impact of the successful holding of the sixth Palestine Intifada Conference in Tehran was that this year, over 800 NGOs from five continents are organizing rallies for the International Quds Day so as to keep alive the Palestinian cause,” he concluded.
