Iranian voters keep Iran independent: Ghasemi

TEHRAN, May. 19 (MNA) – Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry told the media that the Iranian nation have always kept their country independent with their votes and contributions.

“Our grasp is that, our people in all stages of the revolution whether at the time of the Saddam’s war against Iran or after that have preserved their country independent with their choices, votes, and contributions,” said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry after casting his vote at Jamaran Hosseinieh in north of Tehran.

He asserted that the Iranian nation have always contributed to the well-veing of their country through ballot boxes despite all the difficulties.

“With respect to the specific situation in the region and the chaos in the world of passages, the people have shown that they attend the polling stations with full awareness and consciousness without being affected by the others to conserve security, stability, and development in their country,” highlighted the Iranian diplomat.

He claimed that a collective security is not achievable in the region and the world, unless governments rely upon people. Mr. Ghasemi stressed that this is the message of people’s turnout in the election.

“People are aware that regional and international issues influence their lives and at this turning point they have decided to be more vibrant and lively in elections,” reassured the spokesman of Iran’s ministry of foreign affairs.
