According to Esmaeili, President Rouhani will hold bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart President Putin and a number of other senior officials on various significant bilateral, regional and international issues.
Various documents and agreements for cooperation in legal and judicial spheres, roads and urban development, technology and communications, energy and power, standards, sports, etc. will be signed between the two sides, he added.
“Given the fact that a delegation from Iran’s private sector is also accompanying the president during this visit, businessmen and economic agents will hold joint session and various negotiations on many fields of mutual interest and sign a number of MoUs for expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ private sectors,” he said.
He went on to add, “considering the significant position of Iran and Russia on the regional and international scenes, it appears that talks will mostly focus on continuation and expansion of Tehran-Moscow’s cooperation on improving stability and security in the region, multilateral and international cooperation, combating terrorism and other regional threats.”
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and ICT Minister Mahmoud Vaezi are announced to be among the ministers accompanying President Rouhani and are slated to meet their counterparts on Tuesday in Moscow.
