Alaeddin Boroujerdi, reaffirming that Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile program is unrelated to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), asserted, “the missiles do not have the capability of carrying nuclear warheads and are merely designed to improve Iran’s defense power which is a normal issue.”
“Iran has proved its good will in implementing JCPOA and staying committed to it; however the Islamic Republic has the right to enhance its warfare as far as possible to defend its territorial integrity against threats,” added Iranian senior MP.
Boroujerdi continued “officials of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have repeatedly rejected the concerns on the issue as the tests only seek defensive purposes.”
Noting that the concurrent claimsar of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are parallel with a new conspiracy against Iran, Iranian senior lawmaker said western officials are misusing political and unprofessional allegations to promote themselves; however, Iran’s diplomatic officials have answered and will respond to them with vigilance.”
