Iranian female athletes snatch 3 gold medals

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – Three Iranian Sanda athletes managed to claim gold medals at the 13th World Wushu Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.

On the last day of the tournament, Sedigheh Daryaei in 60kg, Shahrbanoo Mansourian in 65kg and Maryam Hashemi in 70kg all bagged gold medals.

Daryaei had to defeat the Indonesian rival 2-nil in order to become world champion at 2015 Wushu Championship.

Mansourian downed the Wushu practitioner from Philippines 2-nil to win the gold while Hashemi had to win against the Czech fighter before standing on the Gold podium.

Also in men’s section, three Iranian representatives will fights for medals in today’s Sanda combats; namely, Mohsen Mohamad Seifi in 70kg, Amir Fazli in 85kg as well as Hamidreza Gholipour in 90kg.

Hosted by Indonesia and attracting 1000 athletes from 82 countries, the 13th World Wushu Championships (WWC) kicked off on Saturday November 11 and the event will wrap up today (Wednesday November 18).
