Palestine Rouhani’s main topic in UN address

TEHRAN, Sep. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s Minister of Culture Ali Jannati said President Rouhani will consider the Palestinian issue as one of the main focuses of his speech at the UN General Assembly.

Minister of Culture Ali Jannati told reporters on Monday that issues related to Iraq, Syria and Yemen will be among the main topics of President Hassan Rouhani’s speech to be delivered at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, adding “the Palestinian issue, however, has always been the Islamic Republic’s main focus and Mr. Rouhani will talk about this issue in his next visit to New York.”

Jannati added that the true image of Iran, as a country ready to interact and cooperate with all countries, has been revealed to the world today and the president will certainly discuss this topic at the UN headquarters in New York.

“In the past 10 or 12 years they would say Iran is after nuclear weapons, but today it has been proved to the world that Iran is after nuclear energy,” he said.

Jannati further added that everything that has been said about the Islamic Republic up to this point was untrue and Iran has now created a new atmosphere for constructive interaction with the world.
