European orchestras to perform in Tehran

TEHRAN, Aug. 15 (MNA) – Iran’s minister of culture and Islamic guidance announced that some European orchestras would have performances in Tehran in near future.

On the sidelines of joint concert by Iranian and Chinese orchestras, Ali Jannati expressed his pleasure of the cultural event and extended his gratitude to Tehran Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic Orchestra for their great performance.

Noting that the event is the debut for the presence of different orchestras and groups in Iran, Iranian official announced that some high profile European orchestras are to hold performances in Tehran soon, among which a German orchestra is the most proximate.

He also expressed hope that the ground would be prepared for Iranian orchestras to perform in European countries as well.

Held on Thursday in Vahdat Hall of Tehran, joint performance of Tehran Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic Orchestra was warmly welcomed by public.
