The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the 4th meeting of D8 countries, with Islamic Azad University as a partner. Seyed Javad Angaji, the University’s International Affairs Deputy told reporters that founding a university had been an Iran’s commitment since five years ago; “a 1 billion population of D8 countries and huge human labor force of the group provides excellent grounds and opportunity to improve sceintific and educaitonal cooperation of the member states,” he added.
“Signing of the MoU is in line with this opportunity; Islamic Azad University has a nationwide student population of 1.7 million people who attend 420 branches of the University across the country, which motivates the University for participation in such cooperations,” he told the press.
