TEHRAN, Jan. 29 (MNA) – Finland embassy to Tehran will hold an exhibition of its known arcitectures in Tehran.

Like Iran, Finland is also known for its prominent architecture and great architects. Some works of the most famous Finnish architect, Alvar Aalto, will for the first time be displayed in Iran, at the Iranian Artists´ Forum from 12 till 19 February 2014. The photo exhibition “A Gentler Structure for Life”, by Finnish photographer Ms. Maija Holma, will be brought to Iran by the Alvar Aalto Museum ( http://www.alvaraalto.fi/index_en.htm) in Jyväskylä, Finland.

In addition to the photographs by Ms. Holma, pictures of Finnish urban space and architecture, taken by Assistant Professor of Urban Design, Mr. Ehsan Ranjbar of Tarbiat Modares University and Ms. Najmeh Motalaei, of University of Applied Science, Tehran, will also be displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition will present two interesting views – an Iranian and a Finnish one - on modern Finnish architecture.

In addition, some objects of modern Finnish design will be on display, such as pieces of Alvar Aalto´s furniture, modern Finnish glass and textiles for interior design.
