Gharibabadi made the remarks in his address to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)-Arab League Joint Extraordinary Summit of Foreign Ministers Meeting in Saudi capital Riyadh on Sunday.
Expressing gratitude to Saudi Arabia for holding the meeting in the dire situation in the region, the Iranian judiciary official said that the current developments in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon a shame for humanity. He recalled that the people of Palestine have faced injustice and have been deprived of their basic rights for more than seven decades under occupation and aggression.
Gharibabadi further noted that considering the hostile actions of the Zionist regime against the legitimacy of the United Nations, including tearing up the United Nations Charter, declaring the Secretary General of the United Nations Persona non grata, banning UNRWA activities in the occupied territories, killing hundreds of United Nations staff, and its total disregard to the temporary rulings of the International Court of Justice, violating the provisions of the United Nations Charter, especially its Article 2, it is now high time to expel the regime from the United Nations.
The Iranian official reiterated Iran's call for full arms, economic and trade embargo by the member states on the Zionist regime and all institutions supporting the occupation of the regime in Palestine.
On the sidelines of the meeting in Saudi Arabia, Gharibabadi held talks with OIC secretary general Hissein Brahim Taha.
