TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (MNA)— Iranian boxer Amir-Reza Malek Khatabi won a silver medal at the 2024 World Boxing Championships in Budva, Montenegro.

Malek Khatabi (92 kg) was defeated by his rival from Uzbekistan Khalimjon Mamasoliyev in the final match and stood in second place in the sporting event.

Previously in the tournament, Malek Khatabi defeated rivals from Turkey, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan to reach the final.

The IBA Youth World Boxing Championships was held in Budva, Montenegro from October 22 to November 3.
