During the talks, the two sides exchanged their views on bilateral ties and regional-international issues.
During the meeting, the Syrian prime minister hailed the unwavering support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Resistance movements in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria against the occupation of the criminal Zionist regime and Takfiri terrorism and expressed hope that all the governments in the region will cooperate with each other in order to neutralize the evil deeds of the criminal regime more than ever.
The two sides exchanged their views on the latest implementation of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in trade and economic fields and emphasized on using the capacity of the private sectors of Iran and Syria to strengthen and expand economic, industrial and commercial cooperation.
Iran’s top diplomat and Syrian prime minister, after examining the difficult humanitarian conditions caused by the recent aggression of the Zionist regime against Lebanon which has displaced hundreds of thousands of innocent Lebanese citizens, stressed the need to mobilize all facilities and means in the region and at the international level to provide assistance to the war refugees and attract the attention of the international supports in this field.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condoled the martyrdom of the Secretary General of Hezbollah Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and other commanders of the Resistance.
“We are confident that the blood of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a martyr of Al-Quds and Palestine and the blood of other martyrs of the Resistance in Palestine and Lebanon will make the Resistance stronger and lead to the final victory against the Zionist enemy,” Araghchi emphasized.
Referring to the clear message of his visit to Lebanon and Syria and the authoritative words of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Friday prayers in Tehran Mosalla, he emphasized the continuation of the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the cause of Palestine and all-out support for the Resistance Movement in the region against the occupying regime of Israel.
Araghchi has also met with Syrian president and his Syrian counterpart during the Damascus trip.
The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Damascus from Beirut, the Lebanese capital, where he held with Parliament speaker Nabih Berri.
