TEHRAN, Nov. 07 (MNA) – Iran's Defense Minister said that achievements in the defense sector will contribute to the industry and trade sectors.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani in an interview with Mehr News Agency regarding the transfer of the technologies of the defense sector to the country's industry and trade, said that Iran organized the defense sector in a way that the technologies transfer will enter the industry sector like industrialized and developed countries.

He further stated that the committees with him as a member and also with the participation of other Iranian ministries and departments had been formed to organize the process of transferring technology from the defense field to the industry and improve the previous efforts in this regard.

Explaining the different sectors that this technology transfer has been carried out, Ashtiani, acknowledged that in the field of energy ,oil and gas equipment, in the field of health and treatment, medical equipment, as well as in the field of vaccines, rail and microelectronics, this technology transfer has been fruitful.

The Defense Minister stated that the aid of transfering technology from the defense sector to the industry has led to an increase in gross national production and wealth generating.

Regarding the production of domestically-manufactured fighter jets apart from the Kowsar Fighter jet, the defense minister said great work is being done in the country's defense sector in all fields, including the air, sea and land fields, as well as other sectors such as the electronics sector.
