TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – The Iranian grandmaster Parham Maghsoodloo beat his rival from Germany in the 2023 Qatar Masters Open underway in in Doha, Qatar.

Maghsoodloo, with a rating of 2707, won his prominent chess player from Germany Raphael Lagunow, with a rating of 2425.

Magnus Carlsen, the world's number one chess player, Nakamura and Anish Giri are among the most famous chess players in the competition.

The Qatar Masters 2023 is a 9-round Swiss, underway in Doha, Qatar from October 11-20.
