TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (MNA) – Fifty-three citizens who were collecting truffles were killed in an attack carried out by ISIL terrorists southeast of the city of Al-Sukhna in the eastern countryside of Homs, local Syrian media said on Saturday.

“The bodies of 53 martyrs arrived at the hospital, where it was found after examining them that the death was caused by gunshots to the head”, the director of the General Authority of Palmyra National Hospital, Dr. Walid Odeh, stated in a statement to Syrian official SANA news agency.

One of the survivors told SANA reporter that ISIL members burned citizens’ cars at the site.
