The Iranian interior minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Wednesday that the EU's attempt to put the Iranian IRGC on its terrorist list shows the Europeans' apex of helplessness and ignorance, stressing that labeling the Iranian force will not affect its work.
"The IRGC will continue its work with strength," Vahidi said.
"The IRGC is an important, valuable and essential force in our country, which uses all its potential in defending the country and the people and is always there when it is needed. The fact that some people in the West want to do such things runs against all principles of international law and call a major force a terrorist shows their intellectual, moral and political weakness," the minister added.
He pointed out that the martyr Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of IRGC Quds Force, was spearheading the anti-terrorism international campaign, underlining that "the IRGC is still the most important anti-terrorism force."
The Iranian minister continued to say that the Western countries led by the Israeli Zionist regime and the US have increased their attempts to put IRGC on their terrorism list, saying that their attempt is out of desperation and ignorance and will not affect the IRGC mission.
