TEHRAN, Jun. 06 (MNA) – President Ebrahim Raeisi on Monday called for establishing a regional council for environmental protection for the problem of dust storms.

On Monday, at the first meeting of the Supreme Environment Council since the 13th Iranian administration assumed office last August, Ayatollah Ebrahim Raeisi, the president of Islamic Republic of Iran, suggested that the formation of a regional council for environmental protection be set up to follow up on the issue of dust particles (dust storms.)

"To tackle the problem of dust particles, a regional council for environmental protection should be formed and this problem should be followed up on with the participation of the countries in the region with Iran in the center."

The president also said Iran welcomes cooperation with international organizations on the issue of dust storms
