TEHRAN, Nov. 9 (MNA) – Iranian fiction-feature ‘Orange Days’ directed by Arash Lahooti is taking part in the 24th edition of MedFilm Festival in the Italian metropolitan city of Rome.

‘Orange Days’ has been accepted in the main competition section of the international festival, which started today (Nov. 9) and will go on through Nov. 18.

‘Orange Days’ narrates the story of “Aban, an overworked contractor in her forties, is dead set on outbidding her male competitor Kazem to harvest, with her crew of seasonal female workers, the largest orange orchard in the region.”

MedFilm Festival is the first festival in Italy dedicated to the promotion of Mediterranean and European cinema. Established in 1995 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Cinema and based on the conviction that diversity is a value, MedFilm Festival encourages relations, cooperation and the development of the film industry between neighboring countries.

The Iranian film has already taken part at a number of other international festivals, including 67th Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival in Germany, 16th TOFIFEST International Film Festival in Poland, the 19th Calgary International Film Festival in Canada, 2018 Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, and 42nd São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.
