TEHRAN, Nov. 06 (MNA) – Iranian Karate practitioner Sajjad Ganjzadeh, after defeating an opponent from Russia on Monday, has reached the finals of 24th World Senior Championships underway in Spain.

The Karate practitioner Sajjad Ganjzadeh has defeated all his opponents to reach the final match of+84 kg category at the 24th World Senior Championships, which has been underway in Madrid, Spain from November 6 and will conclude on November 11.

The Iranian representative first defeated a Kyrgyz fighter 6-0 to advance to the second round to take on a Belgian practitioner, where he defeated his oppnent 3-0 to reach the third round.

In the third round, Ganjzadeh won against an American opponent 6-4 to face a fighter from Turkey.

His fight against the Turkish rival concluded 4-2 in his favor, thus allowing him to advance to the semi-final stage, where he secured a commanding 8-1 win against a Russian opponent to reach the final match.

Ganjzadeh will take on a German practitioner in the final match to fight for the gold medal of the international tournament.
